I have used them for 2 complete furnace and a/c installations over the last 2 years without a doubt best HVAC company in Joliet. Today 9/25 Called Mark around 830 am to inform him of my hot water heater leaking. He came out by 11 am to diagnose issue determined new water heater was needed. had it removed, installed new 50 gallon Rheem completed by 330 pm. Excellent service, no mess, and reasonably price. A BC33 days agoA/C was not working called Comfortmax , and was told that they could have someone out the same afternoon. Mark arrived within the time estimated, he was very professional and polite. He evaluated the problem, low on freon and explained the repairs and cost. He had the system up and running with in an hour exactly as explained . Jeff Goebel128 days agoEmmanuel came out to do an inspection an service on my a/c unit. He also looked at the furnace and duct work. Emmanuel explained what the different tools he used were measuring and told me everything good and bad about my set up. It was better news than expected give the set up is 29 years old. He did give me some different options that may extent the life of the a/c, but given the age I didn't think it was worth it. So here is to hoping it makes it through this summer. N4V3 H3114135 days agoThe installers for my new furnace gave me a great price and showed up the next day. They removed the old furnace and installed the new one pretty quickly too given the slightly abnormal situation of my utilities closet. I was even impressed with how careful they were not to bang any walls while hauling out the old furnace. I should also mention I was even shown upfront that my old furnace was cracked, so I didnt feel like I was being pushed into anything. The installers were friendly the whole time and we got to chat a bit which was fun. They even double checked their work and insured they didnt accidentally turn off the pilot light. Would definitely use them again and recommend Edit 5/19/2026: I got an AC Tune-Up after they replaced my furnace, which was great for the upcoming summer weather. The technician was thurough, he tested electrical balance (at least from what I remember) and identified that a part was not balancing the current well, so he replaced the part with what seemed like a very reasonable price that will improve the longevity of the AC. He also found that mice had made their home inside and chewed on the wires. He was able to find where the hole was that they were coming in through, and prevented their access as well. Lastly he used a special hose to clean out the vents which was super nice as well. Super professional and friendly guy, too. I'd recommend ComfortMax to anyonePosted on Google

I called on a Friday after hours around 4:20 PM when my furnace stopped working, and Ron was at my house by 5:30 PM — which was a huge relief with a cold spell coming up. He was here for over an hour and the price was extremely reasonable, especially for a last-minute, after hour call. Communication was excellent with text confirmations and updates, and I received a detailed breakdown of the service afterward. Michelle Ardila340 days agoI’ve been using ComfortMax for years now and they’ve helped me keep my old furnace going as I saved money for a new one. They brought me to my furnace last year and showed me a large crack on the heat exchanger with their camera. Which posed a carbon monoxide risk. They also told me my ducts were too small and the furnace was too big which explained the crack and poor airflow on the 2nd floor of my home. This year, they replaced the furnace with a variable speed furnace and made my air duct larger for more airflow. I finally get air blowing strong to my master bedroom! They were super respectful about letting me choose to keep maintaining the old one but also honest about the fact that it might give up at the wrong time. Got a second and third opinion from another company and a buddy who works on commercial systems that agreed. ComfortMax had the best quote of like 6 separate companies. They have a wonderful mix of old-school (reminder calls from really polite representatives) and technology-forward that I appreciate (I.e., text reminders with the pics of the techs who will come out). We’ve happily worked with a couple of different techs for our twice annual maintenance checks since we purchased our system but the most recent was Emmanuel. The installers came on time, and were very polite. Got the new furnace in before noon. He was prompt on the arrival time and was very friendly, informative and beat all other bids that we had gotten from other companies. The air conditioner installers also arrived promptly on installation day. They too were very friendly and answered all questions. Upon completion, the air conditioner worked great; however, we were not satisfied with the placement of the unit as it was too close to a window. We called Mark that night and he personally came back to our house first thing the next morning. He was very concerned about our satisfaction and rescheduled a date to move the unit for a nominal fee. I was first quoted by TR Miller an insane price for $14,000 for an HVAC system and other unnecessary accessories. I then met with Emanuel and his team and was consulted by them with what my home needs and was quoted at half the price I was offered by TR Miller. The job itself was done in 5 hrs and the entire time they were working hard to make sure my system was properly installed and even gave me a run down on my system once it was installed. Emmanuel was beyond courteous, gave a thorough inspectional, and explained everything in understandable lingo. Im a good judge of character, and I knew off the bat he was not a “salesman”, he genuinely cared. Upon installation of my new unit, techs came out when they said and wasted no time. Mind you, it was -5 and I bet they were quite busy that day. My old unit was in a tight space and they were careful about not damaging anything which I appreciated. Everyone was so personable. Brian Falli653 days agoMark and Emmanuel are top notch. The customer comes first and they do everything by the book. They tried to save a builder grade furnace and eventually we had to replace. I was presented with two options and decided on the variable speed blower and WOW what a difference. For the first time both floors of my house actually match the temperature that my thermostat is set at with the heat on. They highly recommended this unit and I can now see why. It is supposed to be an even bigger difference in the summer with the AC on. In my case I was presented with two options for my replacement , given all the information and financing options, and was under no pressure to make a decision either way. Pamela Tabler998 days agoI have used Comfort Max for a new furnace last year and a new air conditioner this past summer Both situations were pretty much emergent They came out right away I had a new furnace within three days (literally they day before Thanksgiving) They recommended the best vent and air duct company PRIOR to the furnace installation so there wouldn’t be any issues Of course when the technician came out a year later for the check up…again couldn’t be kinder. Our air conditioner was installed less than four days from the point of when I called. It was a week of INCLEMENT weather and they took care of it regardless. We told him about the issues we were having with our furnace, and he told us that Him and his technician Jim would be here at 8 am. Mark was originally going to be off Tues but went out of his way to do what he had to make sure we had heat. They showed up at 8 am Tuesday on the dot and did a thrall check on my furnace and told me the furnace had to be replaced. Mark gave me a quote that blew the competition out of the water! garrett tierney1029 days agoWas able to get a next-day furnace tune up appointment scheduled with a 2 hr window when most other companies were several days, and 6+ hr windows. This helps with a busy schedule. Malcolm and Emmanuel encountered some unforeseen complications due to the age of my furnace. They communicated the whole way through restoring my furnace to working order, which required some serious knowledge and difficult to acquire parts. Sometimes, these unforeseen issues arise with home services, and you learn all about truly how a company does business. Emmanuel, Malcolm, and Anthony went above and beyond to minimize the inconvenience, and at the end of the day did a great job for me. I appreciated the high level of customer service, and hope this review serves as a true testimonial to the company’s dedication to their customers needs. Ray Gorecki1036 days agoWe would highly recommend Comfortmax to repair any issues you have with your furnace. After doing research and reading reviews on local heating & cooling contractors, we called them to diagnose the cause of water leaking from the bottom of our high efficiency furnace. Our technician, Malcom, came out to inspect our furnace. He was on time, courteous and respectful of our property. Most importantly, he was very knowledgeable and efficient. After inspecting the furnace, he was able to figure out the cause of the leak quickly. He showed us that there was a crack in the condensation water collection box on the secondary heat exchanger. He answered all of our questions. He placed a call to the office to place an order for the broken part. After the part came in a few days later, I got a call from the home office to tell me the part came in and that Malcom was coming out to replace it the same day. He showed up right on time and got to work on replacing the broken part. He did the job quickly and efficiently. When he was done, he cleaned everything up. So, here we are, a few weeks later and we don’t have any water leaking from our furnace. And best of all, the price for the repair was very fair. Ross F1271 days agoI’ve been using ComfortMax Heating and Cooling for several years now. Emanuel has provided professional experience and their response time has always been the same day service. Recently, Emanuel came out after hours to fix my broken furnace on a Sunday night and was at the house until 3:30 a.m. until the problem was identified. A new furnace and AC system was installed by Monday morning. The team that came out are their own installers, they are not subcontracted out. The installers were quick, fast, professional, and did not leave a mess. Emanuel was on scene to conduct a quality check of the final install. They have corrected my airflow issues which has been restricted from the previous system. There is a noticeable difference in airflow throughout the house and I no longer need to close the first floor vents to get better airflow to the second floor.Posted on Google

Eric Kelly1403 days agoQuite simply, ComfortMax is trustworthy and reliable. After having issues with another HVAC company to the tune of hundreds of dollars, we were told we needed a new ignitor. Once the other company put in the ignitor, it blew the breaker in my box for the furnace which should never happen. Long story short, I reached out to Mark, the owner of ComfortMax, who came out to look at my unit after the other company told me various repairs were not covered. Mark showed me the issues with my current unit and that duct work put in by the other company was not secured or sealed properly along with the blower being on its last leg after only being a few years old. We had Mark put in a new furnace, correct the duct work and handed/emailed all paper work for the warranty of the unit and labor. Mark is honest, hard working, and truly cares about people. My first service with them was Mark coming out to inspect my A/C because it would cut off in the middle of a cycle. He found out the problem was the thermostat but what impressed me is he thoroughly checked EVERYTHING and then showed and explained what he found. Even found a problem that I didn't know about from when the A/C was install yrs ago from a different company. Second and third service was months later with a clean and check on the heat that lead to him finding that my furnace was leaking Carbon Monoxide. Once again he did checks I haven't seen other companies do and glad he caught this. It lead to me getting a new furnace. His Team was super awesome installing it! Called late in the evening and Mark answered the phone and said Emmanuel would be out in the morning to check on the problem. The next day was a Saturday and Emmanuel came out in the morning and checked everything out very carefully. He explained to us what needed to be done and Monday morning they would begin work. I never had a company say they would be out at a certain time and were there exactly at that time. They were Wonderful to my husband and I. They explained everything and worked non stop.
