Humidifiers

Whole house humidifiers help alleviate dry skin, stuffy noses, bloody noses, and respiratory concerns. It makes your house feel warmer too so you can turn the temp down a couple degrees and save money! Whole house humidifiers help avoid cracking and separation in wood floors and cabinets. Protect your beautiful kitchen investment with a whole house humidifier today!

Aprilaire humidifiers are made in America  |  Aprilaire offers a 5-year part warranty  |  ComfortMax offers a 1-year labor warranty standard  |  Multiple types of humidifiers are offered based on size, ductwork, and individual needs  |  Free Estimates given on whole house humidifier installation or swap

ComfortMax installs 2 types of humidifiers based on your home size, your needs, and your HVAC layout.

Both options come with a humidistat. This is similar to a thermostat except it reads humidity in the home instead of temperature.

#1. BYPASS HUMIDIFIER – periodically spray water onto a pad or filter through which your HVAC system’s blower pushes heated air. Because bypass humidifiers piggyback on the forced air your HVAC system is already moving, they are extremely efficient. However, they cannot run independently of your furnace and blower. The heat must be running for the humidifier to add moisture. For extremely dry air, this may not be enough.

#2. FAN-POWERED HUMIDIFIER – work similarly to bypass humidifiers, but they also have their own fan to push humidity through your ductwork even when your HVAC system’s main blower is not running. They draw a little more electricity but are still relatively efficient.

There are 5 main benefits to adding a WholeHome Humidifier to your home:

BETTER HEALTH:

Low humidity can dry out your nasal passages, sinuses, throat, and even lungs.

A humidifier can also reduce the severity of allergies and asthma, although you should always consult with your doctor first.

Humidifiers can help prevent the spread of airborne viruses.

Finally, if you or someone in your family has a cold, cough, or other respiratory disease, healthy humidity levels may help reduce inflammation, open airways, and ease congestion.

Regular maintenance is important, a poorly maintained humidifier can spread mold or bacteria.

BETTER SLEEP:

Low-humidity air can dry out your soft palate, triggering snoring or making it worse. A whole house humidifier moistens the soft palate, throat, and nasal passages. It may also reduce allergies and congestion, both of which can cause snoring.

COMFORT:

No matter how much lotion and lip balm you apply through the winter, properly humidified air is going to be more comfortable for you and your family. You’re less likely to develop chapped lips, dry skin and eczema, and irritated eyes and throat. A whole-house humidifier also reduces static in your home.

ENERGY SAVINGS:

Because moist air feels warmer, you may be able to lower your thermostat a degree or two, saving money on your utility bills.

HOUSE:

Finally, maintaining moderate humidity in your home is better for your house and many of your belongings. Excessively dry air can shrink, warp, or crack wood floors, framing, molding, and furniture. It can dry out and cause peeling in paint. It can even damage wooden instruments such as guitars and violins. And the increase in static electricity can damage sensitive electronics.

All of this can be prevented by maintaining that 30-50% relative humidity range. Whole house humidifiers are also better for your houseplants. Most common indoor houseplants come from humid tropical climates, so they tend not to do well in dry air. They’ll thank you for the added humidity with healthier green leaves.

Words can not express the gratitude I have for this company. Emmanuel, Mark & the rest of the team, I appreciate everything that you guys did. Emmanuel I certainly appreciate you, because you made sure to stay in contact with me to make sure my family was doing ok during those below zero days, even before I made up my mind on whether or not I was going to use this company. Finally made up my mind, contacted Comfortmax and scheduled installation for all 3 service(water heater, a/c & furnace). These men are very professional, neat, organized & have a sense of urgency without jeopardizing their quality of work. If you are in need of repairs or installation of hvac service, COMFORTMAX is the company to trust. Thank you, thank you, thank u and may your business continue to prosper…..

The team at ComfortMax was amazing! During the quote process they presented me with several options from fixing current AC unit to several replacement options. They clearly explained the benefits & downside to all options. Ultimately they offered a really fair price on a replacement option we decided to go with. Upon installation their team was on time, friendly, & knowledgeable taking the time to teach us the digital unit along with the best ways to protect our unit. Overall, I would highly recommend them for service!

Our C/A went out on one of the hottest days of the summer. I called ComfortMax at 8:00am when they opened and requested an appointment. I was a new customer so I wasn’t sure how quickly they could come out. I was scheduled between 9-11am, Malcolm showed up at 9:00 showed me what part was not working and replaced it. He then cleaned and checked our unit. He was finished by 10-10:30. I was very pleased with the company.

w. moore

My AC stopped working last night and Mark came to the rescue. Glad I was recommended to ComfortMax! Honest and trustworthy company. I will definitely be going to them for all future needs. Thank you again Mark!
